The AWL Synthcraft The Dark Side of the Moon Sound Pack is a premium, performance-ready sound library for Yamaha MONTAGE M and MODX M, created for live keyboard players who want authentic, expressive album-inspired sounds without spending hours programming patches, layers, effects and performance setups from scratch.

Designed and programmed by Andrea Loiero, founder and sound designer of AWL Synthcraft, the library recreates the essential keyboard and synthesizer textures associated with Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon while taking full advantage of the MONTAGE M / MODX M architecture.

It includes nine stage-ready Performances, a dedicated album-ordered Live Set, and a custom AN-X synthesizer Performance and arpeggio for On the Run. The complete library is supplied as a Yamaha Y2L Library file, together with an additional WAV sample backing track for On the Run. This WAV file is not installed in the keyboard or included in the Y2L Library; it must be played separately from a DAW, WAV player or other external audio playback device during performance.

From the drifting Rhodes and Hammond textures of Breathe to the evolving synthesizer sequence of On the Run, the expressive keyboards of The Great Gig in the Sky and the climactic organ of Eclipse, every Performance has been developed for confident live use.

Balanced levels, practical keyboard layouts and expressive real-time controls help reduce setup and navigation time so you can focus on the performance rather than rebuilding sounds between songs.

ALBUM-ORDERED LIVE SET

A dedicated TDSOTM Live Set page places all nine Performances in album order for immediate access during rehearsals, live shows and complete album performances.

Once the AWL Synthcraft Library is installed, open the TDSOTM Live Set page and move directly from Breathe through Eclipse without searching through unrelated Performances.

This reduces navigation between songs and creates a clear, stage-ready workflow.

ORIGINAL SOUND DESIGN FOR MONTAGE M / MODX M

Every Performance has been programmed specifically for Yamaha MONTAGE M and MODX M using detailed keyboard voicing, layered synthesis, effects programming and performance controls.

The On the Run Performance uses Yamaha’s AN-X sound engine together with a custom arpeggio to recreate its evolving rhythmic synthesizer character.

Real-time controls allow the sound to be shaped dynamically while playing.

All programming, sound design and custom arpeggio content are original AWL Synthcraft creations by Andrea Loiero.

No audio, sounds or samples have been extracted from the original Pink Floyd recordings.
