Andrea Loiero is an Italian keyboardist, synthesizer programmer and sound designer based in the UK, and the founder of AWL Synthcraft.
Through AWL Synthcraft, Andrea creates professionally programmed sound libraries for hardware synthesizers and workstations, with a focus on authentic, performance-ready sounds for keyboard players.
His musical background spans rock, electronic, jazz, blues, pop and cinematic music, combining live performance experience with detailed studio sound design and synth programming.
Andrea’s work brings together two core disciplines: musicianship and music technology.

Andrea studied composition, arranging and performance at Goldsmiths, University of London, and further developed his production and sound-engineering skills through Berklee College of Music. Over the years, he has developed a detailed approach to understanding why particular sounds work — not simply how they are created.

Andrea develops performance-ready sound libraries for AWL Synthcraft, designed for hardware synthesizers and workstations used by live keyboard players and producers.
His work combines detailed listening, synthesis, sampling, effects programming and performance design to recreate not only the tone of a sound, but also the way it behaves and feels when played.

Andrea’s work for AWL Synthcraft includes detailed, performance-ready sound libraries inspired by landmark keyboard and synthesizer recordings. His published work to date includes extensive sound-design projects based on the music of Pink Floyd, researching the original instruments, synthesis methods, effects and performance techniques before adapting them to modern hardware platforms.
